Holiday Inn & Staybridge Suites

Bath Road, Heathrow

This 613 guestroom development will house two of IHG’s most recognisable brands in one building. The proposed ‘figure 8’ layout allows a series of internal and external courtyard spaces with guestrooms wrapped around the outside. This layout creates a connected and intimate hotel not normally achieved on such sites. The proposal also seeks to work within the complex framework of a major airport site overcoming many technical and contextual challenges.

The 423 guestroom Holiday Inn, showcases IHG’s newly developed guestroom design. The Hotel holds meeting and conference room capacity and extensive public areas set within a striking five storey atrium. Working within the framework of IHG’s ‘Open Lobby’ concept, several distinct offerings have been created, including an artisan coffee shop, a vibrant bar, and an intimate dining area with theatre kitchen.

Each of the 190 guestrooms of Staybridge Suites adhere's to the brand demands of comfort combined with a residential feel. The guestroom scheme provides both  the practical requirements of a private kitchen and living space with a bright and contemporary ensuite and additional storage essential for a long-stay brand. The Public Areas continue the residential feel featuring a guest pantry and gathering zone, intimate seating groups, a small meeting space and walled private terrace. A guest laundry and gym are also housed within the tight footprint. Both Hotels share back of house areas allowing combined staffing and staff facilities, shared access for deliveries and linen storage creating better operational efficiency and ultimately reducing costs for the Client.
