Crow Wood

Burnley, Lancashire

Planning consent was granted in November 2016 for the development of this boutique hotel within the grounds of a thriving spa, sport and leisure facility set in the rural landscape to the West of Burnley market town.

An extension of the existing facilities, the hotel will be capable of hosting weddings and functions within a flexible banqueting suite catering for up to 250 guests, offering uninterrupted views across the surrounding countryside.

The remainder of the ground floor is given over to the Lounge, Bar and Restaurant, together with all front and back of house areas. 80 guest bedrooms are spread across three upper floors.

Conceived as a grouping of agricultural buildings, the façade will be clad predominantly in zinc, adopting traditional detailing and pitched roofs in response to its rural setting.

New wetlands will be created to attenuate surface water drainage and integrate the organic forms of the landscape into the development.
